Welcome To

The Lougee Mansion

The Lougee Mansion was built in 1907, as a family home for George A. Lougee, a prominent Madison hotelier. It was designed by the well-known architects Claude & Starck as an homage to the Bradley house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was turned into nine apartments in the 1940s, but retains much of its Prairie Style elegance. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features elaborate woodwork, ornate leaded-glass windows and many stunning architectural features inside and out.
